I have to say I'm quite pleased with today's efforts. Up at 5am out the door at 5.30am, picked Annie up rode to Sorrento (From Landsdale), ran 40min, had breakfast and coffee, then rode home (up hill against the wind all the way) and then passed out on the bed for an hour!
My confidence increased on the way home, though I'm sure some tips from someone who's an experienced rider wouldn't go astray. I think I went through all of my 24 gears at some stage, with a change approximately every 30 seconds! The dismount from my bike could be a little more lady like and controlled and I'm hoping that will come with practice.
All in all though it was great fun and I'm looking forward to my next ride.
Thank you to everyone who's continuing to circulate my emails and links and thank you to people who are donating. Thanks to you I have managed to reach the $2,000 mark this week!
I read an interesting fact on Jerome Gallagher's blog which I hope he won't mind I share, and that's that the money you donate today goes straight to the WAIMR now and not later in the year after the ride. So potentially you could be helping save someone today.
Thanks for all your support and please keep forwarding my link around.
