"Fat Dads" started as a group of middle aged dads getting together to exercise and keep fit, we had all levels of fitness and split up into groups to exercise together before we new it mums were coming along then their teenagers and even skinny fit blokes, it seemed everyone wanted to be a Fat Dad.
We started to enter events ranging from fun runs, charity bike rides and fitness training together and after many years of training with other Fat Dads regularly, we now have entrants in marathons, half marathons, iron man events and cycling events.
Thats what Fat Dads is about, people getting connected with other people through social exercise, improving our heath and contributing to our community.

Paul is my son-in-law.
As one of many who have been affected by cancer, I would truly appreciate it if you could help Paul raise the $10 000. It doesn't matter how big or how small your donation is, every little bit helps.
The Cancer Research Foundation are doing a wonderful job. My personal experience of their work was in the type of chemo that was made available to me. It was the latest treatment and meant that I only needed 4 sessions of chemo instead of weeks and weeks of the chemicals, and believe me that was a Godsend.

We are 60% there, I'm training with Conan Fitness currently to get my strength and endurance up to a reasonable level for the ride, my running and cycling distances are now being increased to get the body used to being pounded for hours on end and I'll be looking for a corpoate sponser soon, so if you know some one who is keen please let me know nd I'll call them...

My Training will be stepped up this year, currently I ride 50 to 60km on a Sunday, run 10km on a Sat have 2 personal Training sessions at Conan Fitness in Maylands a week and 2 group fitness sessions a week. Core strength is fine and I will start to work on my endurance by increasing the distances I run and ride to 100 km rides and 20km runs. Stay tuned I'll keep you informed.
