Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Welcome to my Personal Page!
What has driven me to participate in the Ride to conquer Cancer is my youngest sister Beverley Stacey who passed away after battling cancer at the age of 16. She was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 11. Having just about reached her 5 year remission the dreaded disease struck her down for the second time and she lost her battle and passed away in January 1986. She was so special in many ways. She was kind hearted, caring, funny and very considerate towards others. Qualities which are very hard to find in young people these days. It was a very sad and difficult for me and my family having lost a sister that I was very close to.
There is nothing I can do to bring her back but this is my way of paying tribute to her and her battle with this dreaded disease. My way of helping raise funds to help change the lives of others who are fighting cancer.
The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, Western Australia?s premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.
Thank you in advance for your help.
