Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?

Welcome to my Personal Page! The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!

I took up this challenge in support of family & freinds who continue to fight to overcome this deadly disease, and in memory of those that have lost the battle.  My Father-in-law recently lost a long battle with bowel cancer 13 days prior to the birth of our first child (Emily) and his first grand-child. While completeing this ride in memory of my Father-in-law, I will also be riding to help support a brave little man; 10 year old Robbie Partridge from Mandurah WA.  Robbie was diagnosed in September 2011 with Osteo Sarcoma, and has bravely undergone chemotherapy and amputation.  He is still fighting the disease, and is an inspiration to me.   

I thought I could do more, so I have made a commitment to complete this ride and raise $4000, and would greatly appreciate your support through a donation.  Funds raised go to cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research.  This is a medical research institute investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases, and is a high-level collaboration between the State's medical researchers.  If you want more information about WAIMR go to www.waimr.uwa.edu.au.

Subsequently since my initial personal page update I have managed to reach all my targets all thanks to the generosity of you all. I have recently re-set my personal goals to $15,000, if you have been unable to donate please do as soon as possible as this epic event is drawing closer and closer.
