Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, Western Australia?s premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Greetings to you all that will be reading this.. My Participation in this worthwhile meaningful event is to acknowledge those that had passed on to a better and peaceful place, and those that had survived thru their own personal journey and still going strong.. And those who have been told that they are diagnoised with CANCER....This epic and inspiring journey on the road fundraising as well as being diagnoised and survived thru the cancer journey has changed my life and outlook... The only curable advise I can give from this experience is to EMBRACE the news... like never before A positive attitude on the inward as well as outward. Phyisically and mentally. The healing process will take you to soaring heights
I dedicate this to my loving brother, and uncle Gene Albert Manunui who was diagnoised with lung cancer Ooctober 2003 in NZ. Unfortunately his news had left him not knowing how long he had left to live. Living in Perth WA I had to make decisions as to flights home.. And the only way for me to gauge his progress whether it be good or bad was the amount of morphine the doctors were administering to the bro to make hes last days comfortable... During this time he had declined with chemotheraphy and opt for the radiation. My sisters and I were blessed to spend 1 week with this courageous being.. before he happyly departed to be with the Lord. Memories that will remain in our hearts forever....
Sister-in-law, Aunty and mother Tina Reidy who had being fighting with this desease alone, Not wanting to share her unfortunate news with family, I would honour this as a very brave decision to make and follow it thru alone. The year 2007 Tina sadly passed away. Tina in your children and grandchildren's eye's you were there knight in shining armour, there heartbeat. Now that this desease is getting global awareness and we are getting more educated about it is awesome. Much Love and Aroha to my nephews Aaron, Jason and Shane
Sister-n-law , Aunty and mother Denise Edwards very lucky to have a supportive friend who nursed her thru her journey.. Sadly passed away in 1998... My nephew Luke your parents would be so proud of you.
