Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
I have turned 40 now, and am still having my mid life crisis
Only 1 day to go now until the 200km bike ride.
I think I should be okay to do the distance now, as I normally do 120km a week riding to work and back, and have done a few 50-75km rides.
All I need to do now is get on my bike and ride.
Thank you for all the people that have supported me so far, and the ones still to come.
A while back, one of my oldest daughters friend mum died from cancer, and left 3 kids between 3-9 without a mum and with dad and family only to grow up with.
This just breaks my heart to see kids having to grow up without their mother, and from something that with just a little more research will hopefully be curable soon.
This ride is a great opportunity to raise money for Cancer Research, with all the money raised going to the Institute for Cancer Research.
The event is hopeful of raising $5 - $10 million dollars from people like us, which will go a long way to stop some of our friends dying from Cancer.
So I only have a few hundred dollars left to reach my goal, and would love for your support in getting there.
