AN EPIC RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER
|
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
In March 2006 at the age of 45 I was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma. This very aggressive cancer saw me undergo months of Chemo and Radiation therapy with great result, as I have now been cancer free for over 5 years.
However as this cancer is usually more dominant in older men, I am aware that there are many people who aren't as lucky as myself and so that is why raising money for this charity is very important to me as I would like to see research being done to help with the suffering all cancers bring to its patients and their families.
Although I take part in various cancer charity fundraisers, this is my first year participating in The Perth Ride to Conquer Cancer and I am hoping it to be a successful first attempt in raising valuable funds to help support cancer research.
The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I'm embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, Western Australia's premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.
Thank you in advance for your help.
