AN EPIC RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER

Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
In my life time I hope to see cancer become no more feared than the Flu or Bronchitis, serious enough to warrant treatment, but not so disruptive to our lives and livelihood. The trauma of cancer in our society is far reaching and extends beyond the treatment of the disease and the patient, but to the families, friends and workplaces. Often the treatment can be successful, however the pain and suffering caused is stressful on everyone involved. The disruption to the lives of the person with the condition is extreme, often having to relocate for treatment. then there is the financial costs to the family. While there are charities around to offer support, I believe we should strike at the cause of the issue.
Join me please in helping to raise the money needed to provide researchers with the resources necessary to find early detection, better treatment options even a cure for this life destroying disease.
I look forward to a day when a child asks me "What is Cancer?" and my answer can be one of retrospect and reassurance, that never will our kids have to suffer the consequences cancer has dealt out to thousands of us in recent times.
Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, Western Australia?s premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.
Imagine what the human race could be capable of once we've freed up resources and hospital beds, once we have Conquered Cancer! Thank you in advance for your help.
