I begin my first blog with the sad news of AFL Legend Jim Stynes losing his battle today. This day will mark the loss of many to cancer and it is for those and their families that events like Conquer Cancer are so important. RIP JS
Its been a fantastic 6 months of fundraising. Every donation large or small has made a difference for the future of Cancer research.
With my new bike has come a few stacks and bruises as it has been a long time between rides for me.I am now fit, training hard and loving it. When I am weary and struggling up a hill I hear my Dad telling me to push harder " Come on Frog you can do it" Its these thoughts that motivate me to continue and the challenge to see how far I can push myself.
On the 17th March my best friend Pam organised a garage sale in Eaton with all proceeds to Conquer Cancer. She put it to the community to donate goods towards the sale and had a fantastic response. With a total so far of $635 it was a very successful weekend. Pam still continues to sell goods on a local website and is aiming for the $1000 total. I am so grateful for her weeks of organisation and time she is always there in times of need and I could not ask for a better best friend. Thanks Pam Love you.
