Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?

Welcome to my Personal Page! The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!


Contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Funds raised in The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, Western Australia?s premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.

This is the first year for me to participate in this worthwhile and important event.  Cancer has touched many of my work colleagues and friends but none so devistating that my Sister-in-law's sister Leah who died of breast cancer too early in her life leaving behind a husband, two daughters and family.  This ride for me will be in honour of Leah and her family and for all those who have been affected by cancer.  This ride will also be in honour of my Dad who had a diagnosis of prostrate cancer, but did not die of this condition but other complications.

We are very fortunate to live in society today where we have some very talented and dedicated researchers in Australia and around the world who continually seek to find ways to beat this condition in all its forms.  If I can help to assist in a small way by participating in this event, then I hope that we ALL assist in prolonging life, ease pain make a difference to those with a diagnosis.
