Unfortunately, I've now had to drop out of the Ride because of recurring back problems due to inflammatory arthritis.  I will instead be serving as Crew on the day.  My lovely husband, Kevin Pfleger, has now signed up for the Ride.  This is a fantastic thing for him to do as he is not a regular rider and up until last week, had never been on a road bike.  Please support him to reach his fund-raising target.

Cancer touches all of us in some way - my darling Dad died from malignant melanoma 5 years ago and I have friends and family members who this horrible disease has claimed and others who are still fighting for their lives.  WAIMR is a committed groups of scientists working hard to discover and implement new ways to battle cancer.  As a member of the WAIMR workforce, I know how dedicated these people are and what a difference they will make with the money raised by this event.

The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
