Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?

Hello friends,

Unfortunately a great many of us have been touched by cancer in our lives or have close family and friends who have been. We can conquer this with medical research aimed at improving therapies and diagnostics. As a medical researcher working in the cancer and heart disease field, I see how much can be achieved with dedication and committment. The cost of this research to continue to improve cancer prognosis and eventually find a cure, is ever increasing. Government funding is limited and is stretched thin as it is across Australia. At the Western Australian Institute of Medical Research we, the scientists, are fundraising and riding in this great event to raise money for cancer research at our Institute. 

The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is a cycling journey throughout the scenic countryside of Western Australia that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!

Funds raised in The Sunsuper Ride to Conquer Cancer will support groundbreaking, critical cancer research being undertaken at the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, Western Australia?s premier adult medical research institute, investigating the genetic and environmental causes of a range of diseases.
