For those of you who may know, Ronnie Resmondo of the Southeast District, recently lost his tragic battle to Brain Cancer. Ronnie was a friend and colleague to many of us, who was diagnosed with Brain Cancer in February and within a matter of weeks was sadly gone. For anyone who has ever lost someone to Cancer, you know just how harsh this disease can be and the pain it can inflict on families. This is why the Kiewit family has decided to join together to raise money for Cancer research. In efforts to support the research being performed by WAIMR, Western Australia's premier adult research institute which has made several groundbreaking international discoveries in the fight for Cancer. The Kiewit Australia led team, captained by EJ O'Neill will ride 200kms over 2 days on October 20-21 through Western Australia's countryside. Joining the team will be Christina and Kyle Resmondo, who are flying from the US to be in Australia for this special event. The 2-day cycling adventure will begin as we gather with fellow Riders for an inspiring Opening Ceremony, where we'll remember those lost to Cancer and honour those continuing the fight. Cyclists are required to raise a minimum of $2,500 in donations. However, we plan on taking it one step further. The Ride for Ronnie will aim for Silver Ambassador level, which means we will need to raise $25,000, of which $10,000 of that has to be raised by the captain of the team. This is a lofty commitment and is why we are asking for participation from 4 Districts where Ronnie's closest friends and colleagues are located. We have 6 months to train and raise the money. This won't be difficult if we join together as Kiewit. To make donations, please click on a name below and follow the instructions. Together we can do this. Ride for Cancer. Ride for Ronnie.
